GGSC certification

What is GGSC and how do you get it?

GGSC is the only certification that guarantees a coach knows what they're doing when they interpret your CliftonStrengths results. Without it, you're working with a guess.

What it is

Gallup Global Strengths Coach (GGSC)

GGSC stands for Gallup Global Strengths Coach, a certification issued directly by Gallup Organization. It's the only official way to become a qualified coach working with the CliftonStrengths methodology.

Certification runs through Gallup's accredited partners. In the Czech Republic and Slovakia, that partner is Use Your Talents, the only institution in the region that certifies new GGSC coaches.

After completing the certification course and passing the exam, a coach receives the Gallup Organization certificate and is entered into the global registry of GGSC coaches.

What the certification guarantees

  • A deep understanding of all 34 CliftonStrengths talents
  • The ability to interpret an individual report accurately
  • Knowledge of the methodology for teamwork with talents
  • Ethical principles for working with Gallup assessments
  • Ongoing education and maintaining the certification
Why it matters

Why it matters whether a coach holds GGSC

CliftonStrengths is a powerful tool. In the hands of an unqualified coach, it can become a source of misunderstanding or even harm. Misreading talents, whether too shallow or plain wrong, doesn't help people grow. It confuses them.

GGSC certification isn't a formality. It's a guarantee that the coach went through standardized training under Gallup Organization's supervision and was tested on knowledge of the methodology.

How to verify a coach's certification

Every certified GGSC coach is listed in the Gallup database. You can verify a coach on the official website of Gallup's certified partners. Don't be afraid to ask. Every certified coach is happy to show their certificate.
