I've been using CliftonStrengths since 2004. After plenty of experience with a whole range of other management tools, CliftonStrengths has proven to be one of the best for me. This year we did a full-day workshop for our entire management team with Michael (back then still under Use Your Talents). Knowing each team member's talents and having a shared team grid are already great tools on their own; I was just worried whether a full-day workshop would be concrete enough for our own practice. I was pleasantly surprised. It was a day full of specific examples and situations tailored individually to each of the managers. Everyone embraced the method so much that each of them went on to analyze and develop talents within their own team too.

We found our way to “talents” and to Michael on a friend's recommendation, and step by step we each did our own individual coaching and then couples coaching together. After completing the CliftonStrengths assessment, it turned out we had completely opposite strengths and weaknesses, but after meeting Michael we understood that our differences complement each other perfectly and can be a huge benefit for the relationship.

During the intensive couples coaching we had several aha moments where we grasped our partner's thinking through their talents. If you want to grow in your relationship and understand each other, it's an amazing opportunity and one more piece of the relationship puzzle.
